I Heart Make-up Artist Magazine

Make-up Artist Magazine Cover

Why I love Make-up Artist magazine
I love Make-up Artist magazine because it is all about makeup and special effects. It’s not a magazine that talks about celebrity gossip, or how to lose 5 pounds by eating wheatgrass. There are tons of gossip and fashion magazines out there, but how many magazines are dedicated to the magical world of makeup?

Make-up Artist magazine’s focus is specific to film, TV, fashion, print and theater makeup.  It’s my way to stay up-to-date on what professional makeup & special fx artist are creating, what products they use, and why. I love to read (and see) how the special fx were created in the latest blockbuster movie. Or learn how one of my favorite fashion/beauty makeup artist got started in the business. They also have regular makeup product reviews and educational, how-to sections, showing techniques in a variety of disciplines.

On the web
I also like to check their website because they have interesting makeup news posted weekly and even an online shop filled with beauty and special fx books, videos and back issues of their magazine you can order.

Should you try Make-up Artist magazine?
Do you love makeup? Do you love movie special fx makeup? Do you want to know what the pros are doing on films and TV? Do you love to learn new techniques and styles?  Are you interested in the behind the scenes technique on big movie sets?  If  you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then Make-up Artist magazine is for you.
