I found a very interesting website for a book on Forensic Sculpting Step-By-Step In Photographs, by Seth Wolfson. The book is listed as “a comprehensive guide specializing in the art of forensic reconstruction.” It is my first time hearing about the subject, so I don’t know a lot about it, but as a makeup & special effects artist I think a book like this would be very helpful. It’s $7.99 for the e-book, or you can get it for $29.99 on Amazon.
Why Forensic Sculpting?
As a makeup artist I think learning about forensic scuplting is great because forensic artist study not just the face shape, muscles, etc…but they also study the progression of age. Something that would help me in my field of work.
Other sites about Forensic Sculpting & Artist
I also found a site called Ask A Forensic Artist that has tips and tutorials. Another reference useful for special effects makeup. And an interesting article about Recomposing Life’s Details From Scraps about a forensic sculptor named Frank Bender.
