Day 6 of the 12 Days of Christmas Movies that have fun special fx. Todays pic is the movie A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011) with John Cho and Kal Penn. I don’t know that this movie needed to be in 3D, but I guess that’s neither here, nor there. Who wouldn’t love a movie where Santa gets shot in the face? And Neil Patrick Harris is great as always.
Also, Gregory Nicotero is the key special makeup effects supervisor on this. He has worked on such movies as Predators, I Am Number Four and the TV show Walking Dead… just to name a few. Google him and you will be impressed.
Synopsis: Six years after their Guantanamo Bay adventure, stoner buds Harold Lee and Kumar Patel cause a holiday fracas by inadvertently burning down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree.
