The POREfessional is here to save us!

POREfessional, by Benefit, is touted as a PRO balm to minimize the appearance of pores. it comes in a 0.75oz tube which is TSA friendly when you fly.  As the packaging says it’s oil-free, lightweight, translucent and silky. I totally agree on all these points. It is similar to their dr. feelgood complexion balm. If I had to choose between the two (which I did at the makeup counter when I bought it) I would choose POREfessional because I like the texture better.

How to use:
Squeeze out a small amount on your fingertip and dot onto skin sparesely. Gently blend in to skin.

I like to use it under my liquid or cream makeup, but you can wear it by itself, over your makeup (for touchups).  I will even where it with only a little pressed powder dusted over my face, just to get rid of any shine.

Why I like POREfessional by Benefit:

  1. It slightly mattifies my skin
  2. It smooths out the texture of my skin
  3. Acts as a primer
  4. Doesn’t mess up my makeup when I use it for touchups

Usually I will add it to the areas I feel need the most help; cheeks, forhead and nose… my pores seem to be the biggest on my nose. I can hide loose change and small pets in the pores on my nose.

Anway, Benefit suggest you use this product in addition to a primer (that’s what the sales girl said).  I have used it as a primer and put a primer over it.  Both work. I found using it in addition to the primer gave me a heavier look, which was what I was going for.
